Abbotts Falls Walk walking track Wattagans National Park is a walk that starts in dryer bushland where dirt bike tracks are and winds down slippery trails that are tangled with vines.
Would not recommend this for a walk with young kids, we walked it with our four year old and it was ok, its just that the track is quite slippery and steep so you really need to be holding their hand a lot of the time. I prefer bushwalks where kids can feel free to explore by themselves. It is a beautiful bushwalk though.
Like most walks in state forests Abbotts Falls Walk is dog friendly and it is great to be able to take your dog on a waterfall walk.
There and back takes 1-2 hours or three hours for the longer loop walk.
The walk starts at the Pines Picnic Area near the toilets, here is a link to the google maps start point.
